“What rubbish”: Bruce Arians strikes down reports of rift between him and Tom Brady

Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. Even in his mid-40s, Tom was nothing short of sensational, and under him, the Bucs were doing pretty well. However, the NFL fans were left shocked when Brady announced his retirement from the game after the 2021 season came to an end.

He stated that he wanted to spend more time with his family. Many even blamed his wife Gisele Bundchen for forcing him to retire sooner than he wanted to. However, Brady recently surprised everyone by announcing that he is set to return for the Bucs in the coming season.

The Bucs, as expected, are over the moon. Otherwise, if Brady would have stayed retired, they would have been running around to rope in a star quarterback. Teams are getting desperate to rope in an experienced QB and stars like Russell Wilson, Carson Wentz, Deshaun Watson, and Matt Ryan have already been traded.

Talking about the same, Arians told NFL Network’s Steve Wyche, “We had started to uncover as many stones as we possibly could. We would’ve turned over every stone. Jason did his calls. We were in the midst of all that stuff when Tom decided to come back and thank God we could say, ‘No thanks, brother. We’re out of it.'”

Moreover, Arians also addressed the rumors of a rift between him and Tom. Arians rubbished all such reports and claimed, “I have no clue where it comes from. Somebody’s got to write a story every day about something. Tom and I have a great relationship.

Even during the retirement: ‘Where you at?’ ‘I’m in Italy.’ ‘How’s it going?’ ‘Got the kids over here.’ You know, just checking on him. I can’t get him back on the golf course because he’s traveling too much, so I can’t win enough money off of him,” he said.

He added that he is still extremely delighted that Brady is finally back. “The smile really hasn’t come off my face. I’m drinking too much, but other than that it’s been a constant celebration. It was huge for us to have Tom back,” Arians added.
