The star player was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

After spending as many as seven years with the former Cincinnati Bengals, he recently signed a three-year deal worth $24 million with the Jets. However, it seems like Uzomah is not happy with some of the assumptions made by people regarding the reason behind his change of team.

CJ took to social media to rubbish the claims that he joined the Jets to stay closer to “Good Morning Football” host Kay Adams. Kay is based in New York and CJ was not pleased with Dave Lapham giving rise to baseless speculations about his alleged affair.

Uh… idk what Dave Lapham is talking about. I’m not dating Kay. My decision to go to NY was not about anything other than what was in my best interest for me and my playing career. Respect you, Dave, but had to call this out when false rumors are spreading,CJ Tweeted.

Infact, the tight end went on to add that the romance rumors are creating problems in his personal life. He Tweeted that his girlfriend is pretty unhappy with the rumors of his linkup. “My personal life is my personal life. My girl isn’t the happiest about these accusations, though,” he wrote.

Lapham realized that he did commit a mistake and to rectify it, he issued an apology in a separate tweet, writing, “Totally fair, my apologies to you and Ms Kay Adams.”
