“We help him get prepared to attain the goal,” Caleb Williams’ father identifies major goal for son after USC move
Caleb Williams, the quarterback who was the No.1 high school recruit last year has taken a major decision by deciding to switch to The University of South California from Oklahoma.
While many will argue that the bright lights of Los Angeles will bring in a host of sponsorships and endorsements for Williams, the young man says his primary goal of coming to USC Trojans is to improve and focus on his game.

It’s no surprise that with Caleb Williams arriving at USC, he will be getting a lot of sponsorship deals. The youngster has already partnered up with Beats by Dre and AC+ION Water( a company that produces pH balanced water with Caleb as the star of the organisation).
However, Caleb Williams insists that his primary focus remains his game and that his number one objective is to get selected as the No.1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He has high ambitions and wants to beat Tom Brady’s Superbowls and passing records.
“You have to think about NIL,” Caleb said. “But to think about it as it is your only focus and it isn’t football anymore, that’s not the case with me. I have dreams and aspirations of getting to the NFL, being great there and beating all of Tom Brady’s Super Bowls and passing records. I want to beat all of those.”
Caleb Williams’s father, Carl Williams also spoke about choosing the right school for his son. Carl says they got offers from three big places namely USC, UCLA and Wisconsin. In the end, they decided to join USC as they wanted to work with coach Lincoln Riley. However, Carl also says that they were tempted to join Mississippi as they had Lane Kiffin.
“We narrowed down [the programs] to the people that could help him get prepared to attain that goal,” Carl said.“You don’t know where you’re going,” he said. “We had no clue. We were honest. We didn’t know if we were going to stay at OU, but we knew we needed to look. People were calling us from everywhere.”
“Lane Kiffin was fun. I liked Lane,” he said. “It was going to be tough for us to go to Mississippi. Other guys were trying to put on a show. ‘You can change the trajectory of our program!’ Dude, we don’t care about your trajectory, the school colours and buildings. It’s who can get this kid ready for the NFL.”
