“Carson Wentz was an amazing guy,” Jonathan Taylor makes ‘sad’ admission after QB’s Washington Commanders trade

Carson Wentz has earned himself a trade move to the Washington Commanders, only after spending a season at the Indianapolis Colts. The trade was made official on the first day of the 2022 NFL season, and it has left a significant impact on the Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor.

Wentz was often criticised for his lack of leadership skills and off-field behaviour, but that has not stopped him from earning the respect of his teammates during his short stay with the Colts. Taylor shared a mutual respect for Wentz and is now sad to see him leave only after a season.

“I’m definitely sad to see Carson go,” Taylor said. “He was amazing in the locker room and on the field as well.”

Jonathan Taylor also said that Wentz is an amazing guy, and had a special connection with most players from the roster, because of his urge to contact the players individually.

“You look at some of the plays he made on the field, but off the field, he was an amazing guy always. He made sure to get in contact with everyone on the team,” said Taylor on Wentz’s departure.

Carson Wentz had a middling season with the Indianapolis Colts last year, and it led to questions regarding his ability to lead the side ahead of the new season. It was one of the major reasons why the Colts decided to trade him even though they have not finalised on a No.1 quarterback for this season.
