WWE star and former NFL cheerleader with the Los Angeles Rams, Maxxine Dupri, revealed that cheerleaders are not allowed to “fraternize” with the athletes (football players). She revealed that it’s a direct violation of their contract.

While chatting on the Impaulsive podcast with fellow WWE star Logan Paul and YouTuber Mike Majlak, Dupri brought up a topic that pops up online every now and then.

On the Los Angeles Rams, if someone found out you’d be off [the team].

Paul countered with, “What if you’re in love? That’s when Dupri referenced the love story between former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and his partner, Camille Kostek. According to Dupri, Gronk, and Kostek kept their relationship secret in order to avoid creating issues for the organization.

Before making a name for herself as a renowned Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Kostek spent her early 20s cheerleading for the six-time Super Bowl champions. She met Gronkowski at a goodwill charity event in 2013, a few years after the Patriots drafted him (in 2010). Initially, she avoided Gronk to honor her contract. However, they eventually started dating. Kostek told FOX Digital that taking the risk was totally worth it.

They officially started dating in 2015. Two years later, Kostek broke up with Gronk to focus on growth and individual development. She went on to star for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit while Gronk won three Super Bowls.

Some of the best things in my life came from this [curse word] breakup that broke me, but also allowed me to find who I am. I was able to find myself a little bit and just get in the zone. I didn’t care about dating, I felt like I was, like, asexual. Like, no one excited me.

Kostek told People magazine

The pair got back together and have teased their engagement a few times over the years.

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader married NFL kicker

While fraternizing between cheerleaders and athletes may be discouraged within the same team, that rule doesn’t apply to players from other teams. Let’s look at the example of veteran Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Zoe York‘s relationship with NFL kicker Cade York.

The couple shared a cool moment during a Cowboys vs. Bengals game during the 2024 season.

The Browns drafted LSU graduate Cade York in the fourth round in 2022. He bounced around on the Commanders to Bengals before recently agreeing to join the New York Jets. The NFL kicker made 73.3 percent of his kicks and 94.4 percent of his extra points.

After dating for a long time, the pair finally tied the knot in July 2024.

The NFL is filled with such stories. These are among the few that most people are aware of.
