Chris Broussard thinks ‘the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win’ but warns them to not tempt fate with Big Ben and the Steelers
Chris Broussard and Kansas City Chiefs
The regular season has finally ended. With this end comes the high-octane postseason encounters. The No.1 seeds in NFC and AFC are getting a bye week due to their standing. The No.2 seed of the AFC, Kansas City Chiefs, is going to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.
On the show First Things First, analyst Nick Wright, a Chiefs fan, said that Kansas City is definitely going to win. He feels that despite losing the No.1 seat in the AFC to Tennesse Titans, facing the Steelers will be “good cardio” for the Chiefs. “Better than a bye”, said Wright. However, his co-host, Chris Broussard feels that it’s not all good for the team to play a game rather than having a bye week.
“Nothing is better than a bye”: Broussard feels that the Steelers could surprise Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Game
“The Chiefs are going to win this game”, said Broussard. “Big Ben just simply cannot generate enough offense to beat the Chiefs.” The Pittsburgh Steelers have only managed to score 30 or more points only once in the entire season. Even this effort by the Steelers’ offense resulted in a loss. Owing to this specific reason, Broussard feels that the Chiefs are going to win against the Steelers.
Broussard said, “Nothing’s better than a bye. Cause there’s always a chance one of your guys could get hurt and it’s tackle football you never know what can happen.” Tampa Bay Buccaneers team is the perfect example of this statement. The Bucs lost most of their star players to injuries this year. Broussard said that WR Chris Godwin’s injury should remind the Chiefs fans of the repercussions of tackle football.
“The Pittsburgh Steelers are not to be trifled with”, said Broussard. “They have defied the odds time and time again this season. Nobody thought they make the playoffs. They got T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, a nice receiving court that could expose your vulnerable defensive backfield. So, I’m just saying, the Chiefs are going to win but don’t trifle with the Steelers.”
Broussard said that there is no doubt the Chiefs will crush the Steelers. However, they should be careful in playing them since the Chiefs have a long road ahead of them in the playoffs. Their encounter is set to happen on Sunday Night at the Arrowhead Stadium.
