“He is the biggest fraud in sports history”: Clay Travis lashes out at Colin Kaepernick after the QB expressed his desire to play in the NFL once again
Clay Travis and Colin Kaepernick
Colin Rand Kaepernick is a well-known entity in the world of American football. Currently a civil rights activist, Colin played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. Back in 2016, Colin made a lot of headlines when he took a knee during the national anthem at the start of the games.
Colin was traded from the Denver Broncos to the 49ers back in 2011. In 2016, it felt like Colin’s NFL career ended. However, it seems like the man still has a lot of football left in him. Not long ago, Kaepernick was seen working out with all his might with the aim of making it back in the NFL.
“Colin Kaepernick has gone from arguing the NFL is slavery to begging to be let back on the plantation”: Clay Travis
As soon as the news of Kaepernick eyeing a comeback to the NFL started surfacing, Clay Travis, who has openly criticized Colin on many occasions for his actions reprimanded him yet again. “In the space of six months, Kaepernick has gone from arguing the NFL is slavery to begging to be let back on the plantation,” he Tweeted.
“Watch this video & tell me this guy isn’t the biggest fraud in sports history,” Clay further captioned the Tweet in which he has shared a video of Kaepernick. In the said video, Colin is first seen comparing NFL to Slavery, and then in the other half of the video, we can hear Colin saying that he wants an opportunity to come back and give his best in the NFL.
This isn’t the first time Travis has lashed out at Colin. After the QB’s Netflix special came out, Clay had claimed that “even the people who defend Colin Kaepernick are starting to wonder ‘what in the world has happened to this dude’s brain, it is totally broken.’“
“Colin Kaepernick tried to argue that NFL Combine was the modern-day equivalent of slavery. This despite the fact that it’s an incredible honor to get invited to the Combine, and that White, Black, Asian, and Hispanic athletes would absolutely crawl all over themselves to go to the Combine because it gives you the opportunity to make millions of dollars playing football,” Clay had stated.
