Aaron Rodgers is one NFL star who loves controversies more than anything else in the world. Although he has been nothing short of magnificent through the years for the Packers and he continues to lead the franchise in an emphatic fashion, recently, he has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

Some of the things Rodgers has said have done more harm than good to his reputation. His continuous commentary on vaccines has almost forced people to troll him. Recently, he was reprimanded even more when rumors surfaced that Rodgers want to end his association with the Packers. Rodgers decided to address such rumors on the Pat McAfee Show.

Addressing the issue, Rodgers had said on the show, “one thing I do give a major f*ck about is narratives about me, especially the ones which are so ridiculously off base. This one (Super Bowl Boycott rumor) was pure comedy to me, but when pure comedy becomes slightly more reputable and news outlets mention that, it becomes a bigger story, then comes a time when you have to end that.”

Now, famous sports media personality Colin Cowherd has given his take on the whole controversy and he has made a few very interesting points. He claimed that Boomer Esiason, the man who talked about the Aaron Rodgers Super Bowl Boycott controversy never really asserted that the information he was addressing was 100% accurate, he simply debated on it.

About a week ago, Boomer got a text from which said that Aaron Rodgers is planning to sit out the Super Bowl due to the NFL Covid policies. Boomer and Gio never said that the information was completely true, they simply offered the information and debated it,” Colin said.

I’ll throw something out which is interesting, the number was from the Virginia area and that really piqued my interested,” Colin stated, adding that several years ago when he was criticizing Rodgers, he got a text from a Virginia number as well which contained a lot of detailed inside information about Packers.

Colin said that it was the only time in his career that somebody texted him, anonymously, to give detailed information. “The info was that Aaron Rodgers is leaving Green Bay. It was almost like somebody was trying to set me up to look bad. This time, it looks like somebody was setting up Boomer to look bad,” Colin said.

Boomer and I both feel that the information was too accurate to be a random fan,” he further claimed. “Is it possible that somebody in the Aaron Rodgers camp is trying to create when the criticism gets hot, a little misinformation campaign he can use to validate the inaccuracy of the media.”

Colin went to ask a few interesting questions, “Why is Rodgers beating up Boomer Esiason, why would this silly story bother him, why did Boomer get that text, why did I get that text from Virginia, its all very suspicious to me,” Colin said.
