“They had no relationship” Colin Cowherd believes Aaron Rodgers pushed Davante Adams out of Green Bay for 2022

Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams and Colin Cowherd
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams will no longer be together with the Green Bay Packers as the superstar receiver was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. A recent report about their relationship made things a lot more murky for Rodgers.
The report by Tom Silverstein was about Davante Adams’ relationship with Aaron Rodgers and stated “Rodgers and Adams are tight on the field, but Adams is not a part of Rodgers’ inner circle. Randall Cobb and David Bakhtiari are but Adams doesn’t run with that crowd.”

It also includes “Rodgers heaped praise on Adams all year, so it’s not like he tried to devalue his teammate’s contribution to their success. But as much as he claims he doesn’t like the spotlight, he tends to embrace it. It all became about him after the end of the season.”
Colin Cowherd took this report and shared his opinion on the matter and explained why he believes Aaron Rodgers is to blame for Davante Adams wanting out of Green Bay.

Colin Cowherd blames Aaron Rodgers for Davante Adams demanding a trade

In a segment of his show, ‘The Herd’ Colin Cowherd spoke about the aforementioned report and was quoted saying “Aaron Rodgers all these years, can’t form a relationship with Davante Adams? His best teammate. You’ve got to be kidding me. According to this story, Aaron knew, long before the public, he(Davante Adams) wasn’t coming back. Did it stop him from taking $50 million? Nope. And because of that, Zadarius Smith is now a Viking, and one of his receivers signed with the Chiefs so they have no deep threat.”
Cowherd further added “It’s called sacrificing but Aaron wouldn’t even sacrifice with a vaccine. If you’re on a team, it’s not about you it’s about the club, sacrificing. And when they played the Chiefs in the biggest game of the year, he wasn’t available. Nor, apparently, was he available enough to form a relationship with one of the hardest working guys in the league that also happened to be his most important teammate. They had no relationship.”

Cowherd concluded with “I don’t want to hear bellyaching ever from Aaron saying ‘I don’t have this or that.’ You haven’t worked to get this, you haven’t sacrificed to get that. I don’t want to hear it. Because Aaron will privately say we don’t have a good defense. You did now. ‘I don’t have good enough receivers.’ Who’s fault is that? You think if Davante really felt close to you that he would go to the dysfunctional Raiders?”
Now Aaron Rodgers has to deal with playing without one of if not the best receivers in the NFL and in fact, doesn’t really have a true #1 receiver anymore. Sure the Packers will look to fix that in free agency and the draft but that’s not replacing Adams. Whether or not Rodgers really cares is a completely different thing because he’s getting paid $50 million a year regardless.
