The Dallas Cowboys have been a rather consistent unit. Although they couldn’t do much in the post-season, they sure become a force to reckon with during the regular season. Packed with superstars, the Cowboys had all the credentials of making it big last season but they just couldn’t.

Although Cowboys fans were left heartbroken after the team failed to do well in the playoffs, no one was expecting them to make drastic changes to the unit as they had a nice bunch of players. However, as it turns out, the Cowboys have taken quite a hit after losing a few big players ahead of the 2022 season.

Talking about how the Cowboys messed everything up, Colin Cowherd had a chat with Matt Mosley in the latest edition of “The Colin Cowherd Podcast“. He said, “I never thought the Cowboys were poorly run but I have to be honest, weapons, O-line, pass rush all feel worse this morning.”

They got flat-footed in the free agency period,” Colin stated. Agreeing with Colin’s perpective, Matt stated that the Cowboys messed up big time when they ended up losing Randy Gregory. “They might try to explain it but the way Randy Gregory went down was a major embarrassment.”

Matt added that Jerry Jones’ family drama made things even worse. “Jerry apparently has a child that no one knows about. When you weigh in stuff like this that’s happening, I think makes the Cowboys look even worse. Moreover, Colin went on to claim that Dallas doesn’t even look like a top 15 team in the league.”

I look at Dallas today, they are not a top 15 team in the league. I feel like they have taken a major step back,” Colin said. However, Matt claimed that at the end of the day, the Cowboys only lost one member of the defense and they can still manage to perform decently if they can make some much-needed adjustments to the unit.
