Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have had a mixed last few seasons. While at times they have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL, they have a tendency to falter in the end and not perform at their best in the playoffs.

Prescott had a very troublesome season last year as he threw for a career-high 15 interceptions which is way higher than what he usually records. Many attribute this fall to his unfortunate injuries and the breaks in between have caused him to lose momentum.

Prescott does have the ability to leave a mark in the big games as we saw in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady last season. Prescott completed 25 of 33 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns while rushing seven times for 24 yards and another score. However, consistency is what he and the team lacks.

Colin Cowherd’s prediction of Dak Prescott’s career goes horribly wrong

An old tweet from NFL analyst and pundit Colin Cowherd way back in 2014 claimed that Dak Prescott would only be a backup in the NFL at tight end. It’s safe to say that prediction went horribly wrong as Prescott has become one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL currently.

This is not the first time Colin Cowherd has taken a shot against Dak Prescott. Earlier this year after the quarterback had a poor outing against the San Francisco 49ers, he said that the Cowboys need to look beyond Dak Prescott as he’s becoming a burden for the team.

The pushback on Dak Prescott is, folks, he is now gone from a player who didn’t have a lot of turnovers early in his career behind a great O-line but they didn’t ask him to do much. Well now their O-line is in a little bit of a rebuild, so he didn’t quite have a lot of time to throw,” Colin said. “Now they ask him to throw a lot more and this is what you get,” he added.

Keeping aside Dak Prescott’s performance for the Dallas Cowboys aside, it can be said the renowned NFL analyst was way off with his career projection for the former and underestimated his prowess. Colin Cowherd’s net worth is around $25 million.
