“Colin Kaepernick still wants to play,” Ryan Clark wants quarterback to make a sensational return to the NFL

Colin Kaepernick has not had the best of careers so far. The once highly rated quarterback almost went into oblivion after the 2017 season for his off-field troubles with the NFL authorities. Since then he has become a civil rights activist while taking a break from the sport.

However, the 34-year old quarterback has hinted at a return to the NFL in the upcoming season, by putting out a video of him training, referring to the fact that he still loves the game and is probably eyeing a return on the pitch.

On the popular podcast show, First Take, hosted by Stephen A. Smith and joined by former NFL player, Ryan Clar, the two discussed the Kaepernick situation at length. They tried to look for ways in which the quarterback can return to the pitch.

“We can’t sit here and not understand why Colin Kaepernick wouldn’t trust that workout, or why Colin Kaepernick or how he does understand the only reason that Stephen A. on First Take, the largest voice in sports is talking about Colin Kaepernick today is that he put out a video,” said Ryan Clark on the issue.

“He let the world know, that he still wants to play and the reason that Pete Carroll had to speak on him, is because he let the world know that he’s still working and he’s still training. The squeaky wheel gets to oil. If Colin Kaepernick just went away, like everybody in the NFL just wants him to do, … we would not be talking about him anymore. He had to do this if he truly wants to play.”

However, it would be interesting to see which franchise eventually makes the move for Kaepernick to give him a platform once again to return to the NFL, which will mark a great comeback for the quarterback.
