“Cooper Kupp’s game is like magic” Ja’Marr Chase applauds his opponent ahead of their Super Bowl LVI matchup

Ja'Marr Chase and Cooper Kupp

Ja’Marr Chase and Cooper Kupp have been two of the best receivers in the NFL this season. Recently Chase took home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award while Kupp got the Offensive Player of the Year award.

The two receivers have been quite simply unbelievable however, Kupp is at a completely different level. He finished the regular season with 145 receptions for 1917 yards and 16 touchdowns. Both receptions and yards were nearly NFL season records, marking a truly tremendous campaign.

Ahead of the two going head to head against each other in the Super Bowl, Ja’Marr Chase had some praise for his fellow wide receiver.

Ja’Marr Chase wants to be just as good as Cooper Kupp

In an interview conducted by ‘Washington Post’, Ja’Marr Chase revealed “Cooper Kupp’s game is like magic, man. The way he plays, the way he gets in and out of his cuts, the way he sets defenders up, it’s crazy.”

Chase further added “Cooper Kupp’s at another level. He’s at a level that I want to make.”

The similarities between the two aren’t extreme. Chase is more of a deep threat that utilizes his speed to beat defenders. That same speed is used against defenders when they give him space on the line and he beats them on underneath routes.

Cooper Kupp is a more traditional receiver in the sense that he uses quickness and extremely precise route running to create separation. He can create a yard of space out of nowhere allowing Matthew Stafford to fire a ball in perfectly and keep the offense moving downfield. While it’s not his best asset, Kupp is also pretty good at finding his way downfield for the home run ball too.

While the two receivers have had tremendous seasons and already are bringing home some silverware, they both will want to add a Super Bowl ring to their list of accolades of this season. Expect them to play as hard as physically possible to carry their team over the line come Sunday. Fireworks are sure to be in order for Super Bowl LVI.
