Since the United States government isn’t trying to fix the surging gas prices, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has decided to take matters into his own hands. The Cowboys’ star gave over $700 to his fans via Twitter to help them amidst the rising gas prices.

Parson has been the talk of the 2021 season as he blew away the entire league with his performance winning him the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. This achievement is even more commendable as Parson revealed he played with an injured knee the entire season!

Micah Parsons took to Twitter to express his concern over the surge in gas prices. He wrote, “Gas is 5 dollars!! Man I feel bad for kids in high school I used to charge my homies 5 dollars to take them home! Now the minimum for a ride home is at least a 20!” While this may seem like change money to an NFL linebacker with a $17 million contract, it is a huge amount for the average American man.

The same was pointed out by a fan. “You think it’s hard, try paying for gas when you’re not rich,” Mike Leslie said via WFAA. After being called out by the fan, the 23-year-old LB responded: “You right drop your cash apps ! The people need gas!!”. Parsons asked his followers to drop their username for the popular money-sharing app called CashApp. The fans were more than happy to oblige.

Parsons remained true to his word and send each fan $25 for gas posthaste. He shared a couple of screenshots depicting the transactions being completed. Mike Leslie reported that the reigning DROY had shelled out over $700 to the Cowboys fans who needed some gas money. Micah Parsons is truly a gem of a person.
