Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper has made a name for himself in the world of the NFL in a relatively short period of time. Born on June 17, 1994, the wide receiver has been playing for the Dallas Cowboys since 2018. In his college football days, Amari earned heaps of praise for his incredible performances.

He featured for the University of Alabama, where ended up winning the Biletnikoff Award and a unanimous All-American back in 2014. When Cooper burst onto the scene, he was widely regarded as one of the most promising wide receivers. Cooper was roped in by the Oakland Raiders in 2015.

Back in 2018, the Dallas Cowboys were able to add him to its impressive line-up. However, it seems Cooper’s association with the Cowboys might come to an end pretty soon. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys will most probably release Cooper by the start of the next season.

As per ESPN, Cooper is due to receive $20 million on the fifth day of the new league year, March 20. The Cowboys curated Cooper’s $100 million contract in such a manner that they could get out of the deal after two seasons without being forced to pay way too much.

If the reports of them moving away from Cooper turn out to be true, the wide receiver would get $6 million against the salary cap. Cooper ended up with 865 yards on 68 receptions and eight touchdowns in 15 games. Moreover, he had to sit out for two games last season as he had tested COVID positive.
