“It’s the MOST CONCERNING topic for me right now!”: Dan Orlovsky is WORRIED about Mac Jones and the Patriots offense
Mac Jones
When you take a look at the success of a quarterback or any player in general, it’s an extremely important part to have a good coach or a guru who gives valuable tips. Consider Lamar Jackson and Greg Roman, Patrick Mahomes with Eric Bieniemy or Josh Allen under Ken Dorsey, all flourished with a good coach.
However now with the departure of Josh McDaniels from the New England Patriots, that spot is empty fir young quarterback Mac Jones. And Dan Orlovsky believes it’s a very worrisome topic for the Patriots faithful.
Dan Orlovsky is concerned about Mac Jones and the Patriots
Dan Orlovsky has said that it’s the most concerning topic for him in the NFL at the moment. He has expressed serious concerns over Mac Jones and the New England Patriots offense in general. He said it’s important for a young quarterback to have the support of the guy with whom you’re continuously talking about football.
“This is probably most concerning thing that I have in the whole NFL right now,” Orlovsky said.“There are a lot of things incredibly important to a young quarterback or second-year quarterback, one of if not the most important is having the same voice in your eye on a consistent basis. That guy you’re talking football to on a daily basis to help your development.
“A guy that can sit there and tell you what’s really and what’s not, the feel of the game, the development and the growth. You look at some of the young quarterbacks who have really ascended in their second or third years, look at who they’ve had in their eye when it comes to the consistency.”
Dan Orlovsky didn’t mince his words and said that Mac Jones is in trouble having been left with the likes of Matt Patricia who he calls as a ‘failed defensive mind in the NFL’.
“Mac Jones gets Matt Patricia, who is a failed defensive mind in the NFL and he gets Joe Judge, who is a failed special teams mind,” Orlovsky said. “That’s a massive, massive issue for me.”
