“He’s the next Davante Adams”: Dan Orlovsky reckons Garrett Wilson can be the ‘next big thing’ in the NFL
Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams
Garrett Wilson is a talented young wide receiver who features for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Wilson attended Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, and impressed one and all with his power-packed performances.
Garrett moved from Ohio to Texas when he was 11 years old. The young prodigy won a 6A state championship along with Charlie Brewer back in 2016. In fact, Wilson has broken several Lake Travis wide receiver records, including total career receptions. As a matter of fact, Wilson also played in the 2019 All-American Bowl.
“You better draft these young kids now”: Dan Orlovsky on Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave
As the top teams are looking to rope in new talent before the 2022 season, Garrett would definitely hope to take home a hefty amount to feature in the biggest league on the planet. Talking about Wilson, Dan Orlovsky had a lot to say on the latest episode of ESPN’s “Get Up.”
When Dan was asked to name a guy to whom he would love to throw the ball, he instantly replied by saying, “Garrett Wilson. I think Garrett Wilson is going to be the next Davante Adams. Both, Wilson and Chris Olave are going to step right in and have Justin Jefferson-Ja’Marr Chase kind of impact,” he said.
Dan praised Wilson for his exceptional technique and added that a lot of credit for his and Olave’s gameplay has to go to coach Brian Hartline. “I have to say this man, looking at some of the receivers’ contracts this season, you better draft these kids right now because to play a veteran receiver who is good costs you a lot. There are 9 wide receivers this season earning more than $20 million a year, so you better draft these young kids now,” Dan claimed.
