Davante Adams is a happy man at the moment. The 29-year old secured a trade move to the Las Vegas Raiders from the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2022 season, in one of the blockbuster trade moves during the offseason.
He was officially presented as a Las Vegas Raiders player on Tuesday, and the wide receiver could not be more ecstatic at the prospect of playing for the franchise of his dreams. Davante Adams has always been a Raiders fan, and he’s never hidden this despite playing for the Green Bay Packers.

The fact, that he let go of the opportunity to continue to play with Aaron Rodgers, who is the greatest quarterback in his eyes spoke volumes of his will to play for the Raiders. At the Raiders, Adams will get to play with Derek Carr, another face whom he knows from his college days.
“I grew up in East Palo Alto (California). I was a Raiders fan my whole life, so it is a dream to be a Raider, man,” Adams said during his first- press conference at the Las Vegas Raiders.
“It’s a dream come true. In the third-grade yearbook, I said I want to be an NFL star or an NBA star, and I was wearing a Charles Woodson jersey at the time. It’s been documented forever, so I guess you could say it’s meant to be.”
Davante Adams also said that “quality of life” was also a key factor for him while he made the decision to make the move to the Raiders. Adams has a lot of his family in California, his grandmothers and fathers who have never seen him from the stands, due to the location barrier. This is another thing that he hopes will change, as he gears up to a new challenge of playing for the Raiders.
