Aaron Rodgers is one of the biggest stars in the world of the NFL. It was evident that the Packers will try to make him stay with them, however, the NFL world was shocked when they gave the 4x League MVP-winning quarterback a massive deal.
As per reports, Rodgers is now the highest-paid QB in the entire league. While some think the Packers were right to back Rodgers, some believe it was a bold move to go all-in for him. Anyway, the Packers would have to cut down on their other expenses as they have spent a lot on retaining their favorite QB.

As it turns out, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has informed the Green Bay Packers that he will not play under the franchise tag in the coming season. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Packers placed the franchise tag on Adams last week after Rodgers’ contract extension.
“Packers star WR Davante Adams has informed the team he won’t play on the franchise tag, and the sides remain far apart on a long-term deal, per sources. It’s all coming to a head. Something has to give,” Rapoport stated.
Davante, who is undoubtedly Rodgers’ top receiving target, is looking for a long-term extension of his own. However, especially after Rodgers’ contract, it would be tough for both parties to arrive at a decision with which both will be happy. It will be interesting to see where Davante finally ends up.
