The Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of their new Head Coach in the form of Josh McDaniels, who joined the side from the New England Patriots. It seems the 45-year old coach has settled into his role perfectly so far and earned lavish praise from his star quarterback Derek Carr.
Carr also hailed Raiders’ new general manager, Dave Ziegler after he spoke to the media for the first time since those announcements were made by the franchise. Derek Carr spoke very highly of both of them, as he is still looking to get to know them more on and off the pitch.

“They’ve been super awesome. They’ve been great,” Derek Carr told reporters while speaking on Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler. “I’m just looking forward to getting to know them. We’re doing the whole business relationship thing, but hopefully, we can get our families together and start getting to know each other and start building that unity that we had last year.”
Derek Carr also spoke on his imminent contract talks, as he enters the final year of his 5-year contract which was signed way back in 2017. The veteran quarterback said that the contractual situation is on the back of his mind and he wants the franchise to rope in good players during the NFL 2022 draft to boost his side’s chances of a Super Bowl-winning season in 2022.
“I’ll do what I can to continue to bless my family and bless people all around the world,” Carr said. “I truly believe that God has allowed me to be in such a position with that stuff. I’m thankful that He can trust me to do the right thing with that money.”
“Obviously, that’s in mind when I’m thinking about all that,” Carr said. “But there are also some football players that I want to play with, so I keep that in mind too.”
