“I haven’t assaulted a single woman”: Deshaun Watson completely rubbishes all sexual harassment allegations
Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson has made a name for himself at the highest level. The QB who will now play for the Cleveland Browns played college football at Clemson. He successfully led his team to a national championship win back in 2016.
However, Watson has been at the center of a huge controversy in recent times. A lawsuit was filed against him by 22 women who accused him of harassment and sexual assault. Although a grand jury had declined to indict him in the case a while ago, he is still under NFL’s investigation.
“I’ve never done the things people are alleging”: Deshaun Watson
Deshaun signed a massive contract with the Browns and as expected, a lot of people lost their minds. Simply put, fans were not happy with him getting so much money despite all the cases against him. However, what came as a relief for Deshaun, on Thursday, a Brazoria County grand jury declined to indict Deshaun Watson.
Post that, Deshaun finally talked about the case in detail and stated that he is innocent. “I understand the seriousness of the allegations. I’ve never assaulted a single woman. I’ve never disrespected any woman,” Deshaun claimed, adding that he has never done anything like the people are blaming him for.
“I’ve never done the things people are alleging,” he stated. While Deshaun has gotten some relief from the juries on two occasions, a lot of people are still very angry with the NFL, especially with the Browns for giving him such a major contract despite so many cases.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens next in the case.
