As it turns out, Metcalf even participated in the 100-meter part of the USATF Golden Games and Distance Open in Walnut as well in hopes of qualifying for the Olympic trials. It would be fair to say that he has got some serious running skills and in order to run that quickly, one needs to follow a strict diet.
Innumerable athletes around the world count almost every calorie they take in. However, DK Metcalf does not belong to that category. Recently, Metcalf appeared on NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett’s “KG Certified” podcast, where he opened up about his daily diet.
It would be fair to say that he left everyone shocked with his replies. Garnett when the hoops legend asked him how important nutrition was to his game. “I’m probably the worst person to ask that,” Metcalf said, adding that he got a rather unusual diet plan.
Metcalf stated that after finishing his morning workout, he goes for coffee that holds him until 4 to 5 p.m. He then drinks water and eats candy gummies, Lifesavers, and Skittles. DK also revealed that he eats only one meal per day. This is truly unusual but if it gets DK going, it’s all well and good.
