They say that records are meant to be broken and no matter how insane or unachievable a record may sound, time has this habit of rattling things up. In the context of the aforementioned maxim, iconic quarterback, Tom Brady broke the record of another NFL legend, namely Drew Brees for the All-time NFL yardage. Brady racked up this new milestone with a 28-yard pass to teammate, Mike Evans that placed him on the pedestal with 80,560 yards abreast his name.
This happened against the emotionally overwhelming contest of the Buccs and the New England Patriots at the Gillette Stadium, the former altar where Brady rose to prominence. Following this herculean feat notched up by Brady, the erstwhile New Orleans Saints quarterback took to Instagram to post a gesture of appreciation to acknowledge this inhumane achievement by Brady. He was very impressed with the iconic showdown by Brady and was also vocal about the terrific level of tenacity that the 44-year-old has shown throughout the span of his glittering career.

Tom Brady finally found his way to the top in the passing yardage as he surpassed Bees at the ripe age of 44 during his fourth-week collision with his former team, New England Patriots.

Drew Brees wrote a beautiful congratulatory message for Brady on his Instagram handle as it read, “Congratulations @tombrady on breaking the NFL All-Time Yardage Record! We have had some epic battles over the years, but more importantly, have been able to develop a great friendship along the way. Some may be surprised what you are doing at age 44, but I am not.”
He continued, “Your commitment and dedication to this game, your team, and to being the very best, are second to none. Very few realize the stress, sacrifice and struggle it takes to play the QB position for so many years. You continue to put greatness on display and bring out the best in those around you. Enjoy the moment as you have earned it!”
In a demanding sport like the NFL where you have to put your creaking bones to the test at every turn of the clock, surviving for at an age of 44 years is nothing short of herculean. Brady has been delivering day in and day out and continues to be a vital cog in the wheel of the Buccaneers.
