“You have nothing to lose” Emmanuel Acho believes Colin Kaepernick should be signed to an NFL team in 2022
Colin Kaepernick and Emmanuel Acho
Colin Kaepernick is once again finding himself amongst the headlines. While this certainly isn’t new for him as an activist, this time he finds himself in the football spotlight once again.
Kaepernick made waves in the media recently when he tweeted a video of him training as a quarterback. Of course, he’s arguably most well known for his time with the San Francisco 49ers which included a Super Bowl appearance during the 2012 season.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since a rather poor 2016 season. In truth, every season after the Niners’ 2013 run to the NFC Championship was poor for him as he found himself on and off the bench. In 2019 he was scheduled to have a workout conducted by the NFL for interested teams to see what he has to offer but Kaepernick elected to withdraw from it.
Now that the idea of Colin Kaepernick suiting up again is going around, Emmanuel Acho gave his take on why the quarterback should be on a roster this season.

Emmanuel Acho calls for teams to seriously consider Colin Kaepernick
In a segment of Fox Sports’ ‘Speak For Yourself’, Emmanuel Acho was quoted saying “You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by showing interest and looking at Colin Kaepernick. Look at Colin Kaepernick so you can weigh any potential risk-reward. Can he help my team out, can he not help my team out? You don’t know unless you get him in the building.”
Acho further added “I can’t guarantee Colin Kaepernick will help my team if I don’t have him on my roster but I can guarantee he won’t help my team if he isn’t. So, I would take a look at Colin Kaepernick and see what he has to offer. For the people who say he isn’t good enough, look at guys like Mike Glennon, he’s lost his last 10 starts. Sean Mannion had a start last year.”
Acho concluded with “There are answers for every question as to why you wouldn’t want Colin Kaepernick to be looked at. In my mind, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking a look at Colin Kaepernick this offseason.”
With numerous teams like the Seahawks, Buccaneers, and Colts now in need of a quarterback, they have to decide whether or not they want to look at players within the league or Kaepernick. Or even both if they really just want to see what’s possible. After all, an offseason workout doesn’t mean he’s your starting quarterback.
