Tom Brady has finally made the dreaded announcement to retire from the NFL after an illustrious career. The seven-time Super bowl champion finally settled up all rumours when he made the news official on his social media accounts.

At 44-year old years of age, the veteran quarterback will go down as one of the best players in the NFL, if not the best for some and we were simply lucky enough to witness the great man produce terrific performances for the past two decades. The news has drawn plenty of attention involved with the game.

Leading ESPN NFL analyst and commentator, Erin Andrews paid her respects to Brady on her official Instagram account. Struck with disbelief at first, she had taken to Twitter to write a massive “NO,” after the rumours started to gain momentum regarding Tom Brady’s retirement.

In a series of Instagram stories posted by 43-year old Andrews, she wrote how she has only tried to follow Brady’s career and cover it for the most part. She also realized that it was very selfish of her, but as has been the case with every one of Brady’s followers she couldn’t just help blurting her emotions out on the big news.

Erin Andrews wrote, “UGH, I’m selfish. I wanted to cover you throughout my career.” She followed it up with another status update, saying, “I’m forever grateful for your time and kindness.”

Brady, the 199th pick in the NFL draught in 2000, proved his naysayers wrong at every stage. He went from backup freshman quarterback in high school to seventh-string quarterback at Michigan to the bottom of the depth chart with the Patriots before getting his shot in 2001.
