Tom Brady announced his shocking return to the NFL just 40 days after initially retired, saying he had more unfinished business with football. Of course, everyone assumed he’d be playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but is that definitely the case?
It is certain that Tom Brady will play for the Buccaneers in 2022 but earlier, there were rumors of him playing for the Miami Dolphins. They originally came to light during Brady’s retirement when it was rumored that the Dolphins would go after Sean Payton and Brady in a tandem move.

Moreover, another NFL executive has claimed the same thing but for the next season. According to the executive, Tom Brady and Sean Payton will be with the Miami Dolphins next year in case Brady decides not to continue his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“If Tom Brady does not redo his contract, it does not take a rocket scientist to know that Brady and Sean are going to be in Miami next year,” the executive told The Athletic’s Mike Sando. Payton, who had been with the Saints as a head coach since 2006, decided to step down after the 2021 season.
It appears that he might take the 2022 season off and then return next season. While it is unlikely that the Bucs would be willing to let Brady go, when we talk about Tom, nothing seems out of the box. The man retired and then came back to play the sport in a matter of weeks so ruling anything out would be a mistake.
Tom’s comeback has been the highlight of the offseason and the NFL world would be blown away next season if the NFL executive’s speculation turns out to be true.
