“Get out of the car RIGHT now” – Footage of Marshawn Lynch forcibly being dragged out of his car released by the Las Vegas Police Department
Marshawn Lynch
Marshawn Lynch is considered one of the best running backs in the history of the NFL. His extraordinary career spanned more than a decade during which he achieved a number of awards and created unbreakable records. Due to his powerful running style, Lynch was nicknamed “Beast Mode.”
Lynch was an absolute beast on the field and off the field as well. The 36-year-old has had more than his fair share of run-ins with the law and he added one more to his list on August 9, 2022. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested the former NFL star running back on suspicion of DUI.

Police officer dragged Marshawn Lynch out of the car when he refused to step out of the car
Marshawn Lynch was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday. As per reports, Lynch was sitting in a car that he allegedly stole. The vehicle was a 2020 Shelby GT500 valued at $75,000. The police further reported that the car was damaged on all sides and left marks on the sidewalk before stopping.
The arrest of the former Seattle Seahawks star was recorded on the body cam that the Las Vegas Police Department released two days after his arrest. In the video, the police officers asked him to step out of the car but Lynch refused to cooperate. Finally, the officers had to forcibly remove him from the car.
Marshawn Lynch’s condition was pretty bad when the officers found him. While Lynch said that he did not take drugs or drink alcohol, the police officers reported that the vehicle reeked of alcohol. Lynch could only answer a few questions before falling asleep. “The car’s not on, the car’s not going,” Lynch said to an officer. “Right now, if you don’t get out of the vehicle, you’re going to be charged with obstructing an investigation,” the officer responds. “That is a criminal offense and you will go to jail.”
After this brief conversation, the police officers dragged the former 12th overall pick from his car and arrested him on a plethora of charges. Lynch has been arrested on charges of DUI, failure or refusal to surrender proof of insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, and failure to drive in a travel lane.
The 5x Pro Bowl running backs’ lawyers released a statement following Lynch’s arrest to FOX5. The statement read, “Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI. Rather the vehicle was safely parked and not in operation. We are confident that when all evidence is presented, this will not be a DUI under Nevada law.”
Back in 2008, Lynch’s driving license was revoked after admitting to a hit-and-run charge in Buffalo. He struck a woman at 3:30 am in Buffalo’s bar district and failed to stop and check on the woman. Four years later, he was again arrested on charges of DUI but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of reckless driving.
Lynch’s arrest could not have occurred at a more unfortunate time. Just 24 hours prior to his arrest, the Seattle Seahawks announced that the former RB will stay with the team as a special correspondent. The Seahawks have yet to release a statement acknowledging Lynch’s arrest and how this arrest will affect his role with the team.
