“This Karen stuff is really REAL” – Former NFL great Terrell Owens films alteration with female neighbor, shows how the woman reported fake scenarios to 911 dispatcher

It’s 2022 and racism is still deeply rooted in the United States of America. Every other African-American male is perceived as a threat even when he has done nothing wrong. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world witnessed the true nature of the police when they killed George Floyd in custody.
It’s safe to say that people only care about racism when it becomes a world issue. The latest black man to face this disrespect was Hall of Fame wide receiver, Terrell Owens. A woman in Owens’s community started an ugly brawl when she unnecessarily called the police and said that he was speeding.
Terrell Owens was confounded by the way he was treated by ‘Karen’ for doing
This incident took place on Wednesday evening when Terrell Owens drove his car to his mailbox to collect his mail. That’s when a woman yelled at him to stop speeding. This baffled the former 49ers wideout as he had not been speeding at all. He got out of the car when the woman called the police on the scene.
The 48-year-old great filmed the entire altercation on his phone which he then posted on Instagram on Thursday. Owens kept calling the woman ‘Karen’ which has become a popular term for white women who call the police and report people of color for noncriminal acts and feel threatened even when they have not been approached by ‘people of color’ at all.
“So when I called her ‘Karen,’ her husband wanted to tell me stop calling her ‘Karen,’” Owens said. “They thought I was just going to bow down and listen to all that mess. OK. This is where we are America.” The woman called 911 and reported that Owens has been threatening her and that he almost hit her with his car. The police department made the conversation between the woman and the dispatcher public.
“He’s an African American individual,” the woman said. She was asked whether the individual had any weapon on his person to which she said, “I don’t know. He got out of the car.” The dispatcher eventually asked: “Did you want an officer (to respond)?” The woman replied, “Yes.” Soon after, a Broward County sheriff’s deputy reached the scene and asked what the dispute was all about. “The deputy made contact with a man and a woman on scene who were having a verbal dispute,” the department statement said. “The parties were separated, and the situation resolved.”
Owens was visibly hurt by the woman’s baseless accusation. “I want you let you all know this Karen stuff is really real,” Owens said. “It’s really real.”
