Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end, Frank Clark has signed a new contract with the Denver Broncos for the upcoming year, on a one-year deal. The 31-year-old was released by the Chiefs at the end of the last season and stayed as a free agent up until now.
Clark and the Chiefs failed to reach a mutual agreement over his renewal on a revised contract at the franchise, despite being an integral part of their Super Bowl-winning side. He was in his final year of the contract and was due to receive $21 million, which the franchise eventually managed to save by deciding to let him go.
Frank Clark’s newly signed deal with the Broncos for a one-year period will see him pocket a total of $7.5 million, which includes a guaranteed payment of $5.5 million with another $2 million in incentives. His move to the Denver Broncos means that he stays in the AFC West division and will be up against his former franchise twice in the upcoming season.
