The roles have reversed this season, as Stingley is having a breakout year with four interceptions to his name.

Why can the New York Jets win?

According to the latest weather forecasts, East Rutherford could see some heavy drizzle during the game. This could prove to be challenging for the teams considering the notoriety of the MetLife turf.

The New York Jets have one of the best defenses in the league, allowing an NFL-low 25 completions of 20-plus yards. Robert Saleh’s team boasts the fourth-ranked pass defense according to DVOA and has a 9.1% adjusted sack rate.

Where they have been lacking, not just this season but the last couple of years, is in the offense. Their quarterback spot continues to haunt them. Now that Tim Boyle is out of the picture, Zach Wilson is likely to take charge of the position once again. But that does not change the fact that the Jets are second-last for yards per game (260.1), 32nd in touchdowns (13), 31st in passing yards (169.3), and dead-last in passing TDs (7).

Coach Saleh needs to get Garrett Wilson more involved in the game. The second-year playmaker’s last three games only managed 50, 44, and 9 yards.

The Texans will be without star rookie receiver Tank Dell due to a fractured fibula. In his absence, Nico Collins has been the main target for CJ Stroud. The Texans have the sixth-best offense, covering an average of 373.1 yards per game and scoring 30 touchdowns in the process. They rank second in passing yards at 275.2 and sixth in passing TDs at 21 (along with the Broncos).
