“I bleed green and gold”: Harry Styles explains why he got a Packers tattoo

The NFL is undoubtedly one of the biggest leagues in the world and the game is continuously expanding its horizons. For the very first time, a few of the regular-season games will be played in Germany and UK. According to Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal, the Packers will also play a game in London.

While many NFL fans are delighted to welcome their favorite stars in the UK, one Packers fan is over the moon and beyond excited. The special fan we are talking about is the English singer and songwriter Harry Styles. In an entertaining interaction with NPR’s Stephen Thompson, Styles opened up about his love for the team from Green Bay.

Harry Styles explains why he is a huge Packers fan

While talking about why he is madly in love with the Green Bay Packers, Harry jokingly said that he bleeds green and gold. “When I was about six years old, I fell off my bike, and I cut my knee and I bled green and gold, and that was it.” Styles also shared an interesting story behind his Green Bay tattoo.

Styles said that he promised his friends that he will get a Green bay tattoo if the team wins while they were set to attend a game. Harry was so confident that the Packers will win that he got the tattoo even before going to the game and the Packers actually ended up losing the contest.

“We said, ‘If they win the game, then I’ll get a Packers tattoo. And if they don’t, I won’t.’ So, I think this was maybe 2012, maybe 2013, and I only had time the day before to go and get the tattoo. So I thought, ‘Oh, I’ll just get it because they’re going to win.’ So I got the tattoo, and then they lost. So yeah, now I have a Green Bay Packers tattoo,” Harry stated.
