Joe Burrow has been tearing it up in the NFL since the Cincinnati Bengals used the #1 overall pick on him in the 2020 draft. While his first season was cut short due to injury, what he’s done in his second year is simply remarkable.

From 2-14 and the worst team in football to the Super Bowl in just two years. That’s what Joe Burrow has done for the Cincinnati Bengals. Of course, it wasn’t only him but in the NFL you can only go as far as your QB lets you. And as for Burrow, the sky is the limit.

Despite being a significantly less talented team, at least on paper, than the likes of the big teams like the Cheifs and the Rams, the Bengals have played brilliantly and utilized their opportunities to the most. Something that Drew Bledsoe credits to Joe Burrow.

Drew Bledsoe made an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s show ‘The Herd’ where he was quoted saying “It all starts with Joe Burrow. He’s got this unbelievable confidence and that shows in the rest of the team. Sometimes they don’t protect him well and he keeps slinging it. I love watching him play.”

When talking about the importance of good offensive line play, Bledsoe added “Watching Joe this year, he’s getting hit a lot. One of the hardest things to do as a quarterback is to get your a** knocked off and then come back the next play and make the play downfield. He’s shown an amazing ability to shrug off whatever happened on the previous play and just keep going.”

The importance of an offensive line is going to be on full display in the Super Bowl. Joe Burrow has been harrassed throughout the postseason by opposing defensive lines. The worst battering came from the Titans where they brought him down 9 times.

However, the Bengals and Burrow continue to pick themselves up and find a way to win. Burrow is definitely going to be under pressure a lot against the likes of Aaron Donald and Von Miller but if he keeps things alive with his legs and finds receivers, the Bengals could have their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
