“He’s made himself some money!” Twitter goes wild as Tariq Woolen runs a blistering 40-yard dash

Tariq Woolen is fitting in just right at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. This year has seen a vast number of players run the 40-yard dash in less than 4.4 seconds and many less than 4.3 seconds.

Coming into the combine, Woolen was a very intriguing prospect given his size at the cornerback position. He’s got great height and length combined with weight to make him a physical force at the line of scrimmage as well as a threat to intercept deep passes.

He isn’t without his flaws, however. Footwork has been seen as an issue in the past and definitely needs working on. While his height is a massive plus, it can be detrimental at times as he sometimes struggles to lower his hips and get out of breaks.

While he wasn’t as hyped up as the likes of Sauce Gardner or Derek Stingley Jr., he still came into the combine needing to make a real mark. If he could do that, then his stock could definitely rise and coaches would see him as a much better developmental project.

As mentioned earlier, a good combine performance was crucial for Tariq Woolen. He clearly knew that when he was running the 40-yard dash as he delivered an incredible 4.26 40.

Tariq Woolen being able to run a sub 4.3 40 at his size is absolutely mind blowing. This was exactly what he needed to bump his stock and prove that he can hang with the best of the best downfield in the NFL.

Naturally, putting in such a performance, Twitter went crazy about it.
