“I believe Russell Wilson won’t finish his career in Seattle” Colin Cowherd reveals 3 teams that the Seahawks’ superstar should target for 2022

Russell Wilson vs. the Buccaneers

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks may not remain together in 2022. The relationship between Seattle and Wilson has been somewhat rocky since the end of 2019. Every offseason since has had rumors surface of Wilson finding his way out through a trade.

In 2022, while the certainty of a trade for Russell Wilson isn’t very high at this point, the rumors are still flying around. After all, Rusell Wilson has thrown 96 touchdowns to 24 interceptions in the last 3 seasons, with 2021 being injury-riddled. Wilson is a top commodity in the NFL and is one of the best quarterbacks in the game.

Wilson has the ability to turn any team into a contender with his precise deep ball accuracy and elite mobility, he can keep plays going longer than just about anyone in the game. With that in mind, Colin Cowherd recently revealed 3 teams that could trade for the superstar that would make the most sense.

On a segment of his show ‘The Herd’, Colin Cowherd was quoted saying “A year ago, there were leaks of 4 teams that Russell Wilson could be interested in. A year later, none make sense. Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, and Bears. The bears drafted a quarterback, the Saints lost their legendary quarterback, the Raiders love their quarterback and Dallas paid theirs. In one year those make no sense. I do believe Russell Wilson won’t finish his career in Seattle.”

Cowherd further added “I think he has to go to places that share his values. There are 3 places that I think Russell Wilson should key in on. The Steelers, Broncos and Colts. I think they share his values, I think they’re committed and focused, I think there’s adults in the room and they have a history of winning a lot of games. Also, all 3 feel like they’re a quarterback away from competing at a higher level.”

Whether or not Russell Wilson is set to leave Seattle this offseason is yet to be seen. However, we do know that if he does leave, he wants to be in a position to win. Wilson has expressed an interest in winning more Super Bowls, particularly with the Seahawks.

That there may be a problem for the teams interested. The Seahawks have no will to trade Russell Wilson. And if they do, they are going to demand an extremely high asking price for him because they are fully aware of the talent on their hands. It’s not impossible but it’s very difficult for teams to find a way to take Wilson out of Seattle this offseason.
