Aaron Rodgers and Rick Flair
Aaron Rodgers has been in constant spotlight the entire year. The 38-year old quarterback is known for his love to make headlines through his off-the-field behavior, unnecessary takes on matters beyond his comprehension. After the Packers’ untimely exit from the playoffs, retirement rumors about Rodgers and his future plans with Green Bay started to heat up.
Recently it was discovered that the back-to-back league MVP has asked the Packers $50 million to stay with the organization. Everyone in the league thought Rodgers is way out of line by asking to be the highest-paid quarterback by a large margin in the NFL. WWE Hall of Fame Wrestling icon Ric Flair gave the Packers’ QB some gave advice regarding his future.

The 73-year old WWE legend is a fan of the game and has shown his love for the Atlant Falcons on several occasions. He also admires Aaron Rodgers for his contribution to the game of football. Flair is of the opinion that the star QB should continue his 18th season in the NFL with the only team he’s known, the Green Bay Packers rather than retiring or moving on to a different team.
During his appearance on the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored and talking about Rodgers and his impending decision, Flair states, “He definitely shouldn’t retire. I don’t know what he’s thinking. I am a big fan. It looks like they are going to do everything possible to keep him in Green Bay.”

While the Packers have stated that they would like to go all-in with Rodgers, it will be impossible for the team to give him $50M and also retain wide receivers Davante Adams and Randall Cobb who are set to be free agents soon. Experts analysts in the league think “it’s all about the money” with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers would be better off without him.
In the past, the wrestling icon has called out the Packers when they faced the Falcons in the NFC Championship game in 2017. Luckily on that occasion, it was Flair’s Falcons who won the game but unfortunately choked in Super Bowl LI.
Rick Flair would like Rodgers to stay in Green Bay, however, it won’t be a smart move if the Packers sign him leaving them with little to zero cap money. All the drama that has built up regarding Aaron Rodger’s future will soon come to an end when the 4x MVP will finally reveal his decision to stay with the Packers.
