“I still have a lot of football to play” – Cooper Kupp’s old high school interview resurfaces after Super Bowl LVI win

Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp has been the most talked about wide receiver in the NFL. The Rams’ superstar had the most magical season a receiver would ever have. Everyone in the league has started to recognize Kupp as one of the best wider receivers in the league.
From being the kid with zero scholarship offers to a Super Bowl MVP, Cooper Kupp has shown everyone that hard work pays off in the end. ESPN shared an old video of the Rams receiver during an interview before the start of his senior season in high school.
“Things will play out” – Cooper Kupp knew all along he would make his mark in the NFL

The interviewer asked a young Cooper Kupp about his high school career coming and did that hit him yet and how he felt going forward. “No, not yet. I still have a lot of football to play and I mean, I don’t think that will hit me until our last game, hopefully, a ways away. And when that day comes I mean I know I’ve worked hard, hopefully, things will play out and it won’t be the last football game I’ve played,” Kupp replied.
Kupp attended and graduated from Davis High School in Yakima in 2012 where he was a two-sport athlete in football and basketball for the Pirates athletic teams. Kupp was a unanimous first-team All-Columbia Basin Big Nine League wide receiver and defensive back at Davis. He finished his senior season with 60 receptions for 1,059 yards (17.7 per catch) and 18 touchdowns and scored 22 total touchdowns to set a school record.
Cooper Kupp achieved all of legendary WR Jerry Rice’s accolades in just one season

Cooper Kupp has been the centerpiece for the Los Angeles Rams offense the entire season. He won the receiving tripe crown, Offensive Player of the Year, and Super Bowl MVP in the 2021 season. The only other player to do all these things is the greatest wide receiver in NFL history, Jerry Rice. He achieved all these accolades in his entire 21-year career while Kupp did it all in one season.
If Kupp continues on the same path his entire NFL career, he is sure to become the greatest wide receiver in NFL history.
