“I strive to be like YOU!”: Chase Claypool posts EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE to Dwayne Haskins

The entire NFL family is shocked at the passing of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The 24 year old youngster died in a road accident and was hit by a dump truck while attempting to cross the road.

The young quarterback was training in south Florida with other Steelers quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. Florida Highway Patrol have said that Haskins was walking on a highway in Fort Lauderdale wherein the accident occurred.

It is natural that Dwayne Haskins’s teammates and close friends and family are emotional at this point of time. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool has shared an emotional tribute to his teammate and has written a touching note on Twitter.

“I spent your final moments with you and I can’t help but think about how selfless you were in those moments. All you cared about was making sure that everyone around you was okay and I can’t thank you enough for that. You are what I strive to be,” he said.

He also released a video in tribute to Dwayne Haskins on his Twitter account. The video shows his exact reaction after having learnt the news of his teammate passing away. It’s a very touching video and Chase Claypool can be seen crying.

“A moment of vulnerability,” Claypool writes. “The moment I realized I had lost a brother. We are placed on this undesirable pedestal and become treated as if we are anything but human, but It’s okay to not be okay. Allow me to be the example. Love you, 3.”
