Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid gave out his thoughts on the departure of his star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. The 28-year old earned himself a trade move to the Miami Dolphins, ahead of the 2022 season, in one of the exciting trades of the off season.

Tyreek Hill signed a 4 year contract, and it will fetch him about $120m. It will make him the highest paid wide receiver in the league, as he sets himself up for a new challenge with the Dolphins.

Andy Reid, was the man who first identified the potential in Hill, when he picked him up as a freshman during the 2016 NFL draft in the fifth round. Under the veteran coach, Hill has grown massively and is now one of the best wideouts in the whole of the NFL.

Tyreek Hill’s departure has also helped them reduce their salary cap, and will allow them to sign more players in the ongoing offseason.

“I am happy for Tyreek, he has grown as a man and player here in Kansas City,” Andy Reid said, per the Chiefs.

“Myself, my staff and our organization appreciate all he did for our team. This move will also benefit the Chiefs, we now have cap space and additional draft picks to grow as a football team. I wish him well as he moves forward.”
