Cooper Kupp is the most talked about player in the NFL world right now. Every NFL analyst has praised Kupp for his outstanding performance this season. He has been there each and every week for his QB, Matthew Stafford, and won games for the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams star WR, Cooper Kupp has garnered so much attention around the league for his performance that he is been rumored to be the MVP of this season. This might seem highly unlikely despite his stats and performance, but the NFL has never named a wide receiver as the league MVP.

Kupp was drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The rising star has 138 receptions, 1829 yards, and 15 touchdowns so far before heading into the season finale game. Randy Moss, widely regarded as the best wide receiver of all time along with Jerry Rice has high praises for Cooper Kupp.

“I’m very impressed”, said Moss. “Did you see those three other names on that list with Sharpe, Smith, and Jerry Rice?” Jerry Rice (1990), Sterling Sharpe (1992), and Steve Smith (2005) are the only three players in the Super Bowl era to capture the triple crown. “For Cooper Kupp to be the fourth in NFL history, I’m very impressed.”

Cooper Kupp is well on his way to receiving the receiver triple crown. He already leads the league in all three categories — receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Kupp is also closing in on the all-time NFL record for receptions in a single season. He needs 12 catches to surpass New Orleans Saints’ receiver Michael Thomas, who holds the record with 149 receptions set in 2019.

The all-time NFL record for most receiving yards in a single season is 1,964 set by Calvin ‘Megatron’ Johnson in 2012. Kupp only needs 136 yards in the season finale game to break this record. Rice continued his praises for Kupp, “When you look at the Rams and where they’re going, it’s going to start and stop with Cooper Kupp. … When you look at the production of Cooper Kupp, man, it stands alone.”

If Cooper Kupp continues to assert his dominance throughout his career, one day in the near future he might be considered to be the greatest receiver of all time alongside Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.
