Another tragedy struck the NFL world a few hours back. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins,24 was killed early Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle in south Florida, according to his agent Cedric Saunders.

Haskins was hit by a dump truck while he was walking on a highway and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. “He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic,” Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Indiana Miranda said in an emailed statement.

Adam Schefter came off utterly insensitive in his tweet reporting the death of OSU legend Dwayne Haskins

Dwayne Haskins had a phenomenal college career at Ohio State where he beat out Joe Burrow as the starter for the Buckeyes. He was then selected by the Washington Redskins 15th overall in the 2019 NFL draft and was then traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. “I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins,” Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. “He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community.”

Adam Schefter reported on Twitter about the passing of Dwayne Haskins but his statement was not appreciated by anyone. “Dwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3,” Schefter wrote.

Fans were irked by Schefter mentioning Haskins’ NFL struggles in his statement reporting the QB’s death. They reprimanded Schefter for his completely unprofessional behavior and urged him to let the family grieve in peace.
