“Tom Brady returning as 49ers quarterback”: NFL Insider Mike Florio makes ‘shocking’ comments about Tom Brady’s return
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is one of the biggest stars in the world of the NFL. The QB spent two decades with the Patriots and completely changed the fortune of the side before joining the Bucs where he won another Super Bowl title. His stats are just too good to be true.
Even in his mid-40s, Tom was nothing short of sensational, which is why the world was shocked when he announced his retirement from the game after the 2021 season came to an end. Tom kept dropping hints that he might come out of his retirement in the near future.
“He is intending to retire from the Bucs”: Mike Florio on Tom Brady
Not long ago, Tom’s response was “never say never” when he was asked about his decision of returning to the field. However, Bucs coach Bruce Arians had recently claimed that Brady might not be in the mood to take the field again. Adding another twist to the tale, NFL Insider Mike Florio has made some very interesting comments on Brady’s future.
In an interaction with SI’s Jimmy Traina, Mike stated that he expects Tom Brady to unretire and then ask the Bucs to release or trade him. Mike further predicted that the all-time-great footballer will be the starting QB of the San Francisco 49ers in the coming season.
“He is intending to retire from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He signed a two-year contract, he did a one-year extension for cap purposes, not because he wanted to extend his commitment by a year,” Mike claimed. “I still think that Week 1 he’s going to be the 49ers’ starting quarterback.”
“I think when the season begins when we’re digesting Russell Wilson in Denver and Deshaun Watson, wherever, I think Tom Brady is going to be the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers in 2022,” he further added.
