Aaron Rodgers is a force to reckon with in the world of the NFL. Although it would be fair to say that the man has ruffled quite a few feathers by giving rather controversial statements, a fact that no one can deny is that he is indeed one of the finest quarterbacks in the game.

It is true that he loves to make the headlines, his performances haven’t been affected by the controversies and as a result, he was named the MVP for the second time in a row. However, as soon as the season ended for the Packers, speculations about Rodgers’ future started surfacing.

Giving his take on the Rodgers situation, NBC Sports NFL analyst Mike Florio claimed that the Packers might finally look to move away from Aaron. Florio, on a recent episode of Pro Football Talk, claimed that Green Bay GM Gutekunst might actually like Rodgers to leave the Packers.

I almost feel like Gutekunst wants him to go. I almost feel like Gutekunst is ready to rip the band-aid off. This guy has been a pain in the a** for the past couple years. He’s getting in the way of what we’re trying to do building a team long-term. We’re doing too much to have to cater to this guy,” he said.

We have to turn upside down the way we run on our own football team. We got a guy who wants a seat at the table when we don’t traditionally give guys seats at the table. They’re here, they play, that’s their job, and when the job’s over, they move on,” he added.

Florio added that after all the drama that has transpired around Aaron Rodgers, at least at some level, Gutekunst would probably want to move on from Rodgers. It’ll be interesting to see what Rodgers decides about his future in the league.
