Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens teammates are currently in their offseason. Most of them might not be thinking about anything serious as they enjoy the few weeks of rest after a tiring season. But that is not what Justin Tucker is facing, as he has the NFL and lawyers at his doorstep.

His ordeal started right before New Year’s Eve when six massage therapists accused him of s**ual misconduct. His instance reaction was to deny those accusations as he tried to portray an image of a devout Catholic, father and husband who is respectful to others.

That did not help matters when three more women came forward with similar accusations. A few days earlier, that number now jumped to sixteen. Now it was becoming too hot for him and his legal representatives to handle.

The NFL had started looking into those accusations from the start itself. But it was not a full-blown investigation, as they were merely accusations. Now, the league has turned on the heat as ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed.

NFL investigators have been in Baltimore speaking to women who have accused Justin Tucker of s**ual misconduct, a source told ESPN. Three women have spoken with investigators, with another two scheduled to do so, per a Baltimore Banner report.

The Baltimore Banner confirmed Schefter’s report by adding that other women are scheduled to speak with investigators. If these investigations have started, it is possible that league officials speak with all or most of those 16 women who have filed accusations.

NFL investigations could lead to end of Justin Tucker’s illustrious career

If the NFL has allocated resources where their investigators have to travel to Baltimore, Maryland, to speak with the alleged victims, it means they are taking the matter seriously. Once they take such matters seriously, there is a chance the outcome may not favor the player.

Considering this is not a lawsuit, Justin Tucker may not have to pay out a settlement of any kind. However, the damage to his reputation could be life altering. For one, he is married and is known to be a devout family man.

Then his reputation in Baltimore was sky high. If the reputation also tumbles, there is a high chance that the Ravens cut their losses. They would not want to stick with the 35-year-old whose new reputation could be detrimental to the organization.

The seven-time Pro Bowler has had a Hall of Fame career. However, his kicking woes this past season sent alarm bells ringing. This offseason, the Baltimore Ravens can cut bait, but will still take on a $7.5 million dead cap.
