Cam Newton came into the NFL as a first overall selection by the Carolina Panthers in the 2011 NFL draft. After winning the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award in his first season, Newton was considered as one of the best QBs in the league in the early 2010s.

Known as “Super Cam” for his ability to run, he has more rushing touchdowns than any other QB in NFL history.

However, Cam Newton is currently a free agent and hasn’t played football for the past couple of years. He was part of the Carolina Panthers in 2021, where he lost all five of his starts and finished the season, throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. The Panthers released Newton after the 2021 season and he has been out of football since then.

Newton played for the Carolina Panthers from 2011 to 2019. Newton was released by the Panthers ahead of the 2020 season. He played for the New England Patriots in 2020 and was later released from the team after just one season. He last played for the Panthers in 2021.
