Carson Wentz is a renowned name in the NFL world. However, Wentz has been missing from the NFL 2023-24 actions. Hence the question, where is Carson Wentz now?

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, the player moved to North Dakota when he was three years old. He started his professional career as a quarterback and defensive back for the football team at Century High School in Bismarck. In his school days, the player was also associated with sports like baseball and basketball. He had a good record.

Wentz started his college-level career at the North Dakota State Bison football team. That season, the team won the FCS trophy that year. However, Wentz did not have any impact as he was a redshirter. His participation got delayed. Nonetheless, the athlete made his debut in September 2012. He was primarily a backup quarterback, but Wentz got the opportunity to showcase his skillset. In his debut game, Wentz had a 10-of-13 passing record and completed one touchdown. He became a regular starter in 2014 at the college level football and impressed a lot of people. 

It was the year 2016 when the Philadelphia Eagles traded him in the first round as the second overall pick. He was earlier selected as a backup quarterback for the team, however; the team changed its intention and registered Wentz as their regular quarterback. Wentz later went on to play for two more teams in the NFL.

The answer to this question is slightly dicey. While Carson Wentz is still an active player, he does not have a roaster seat this season. He played his last football in 2022 for the Washington Commanders.

In 2021, the player was traded to the Indianapolis Colts after two horrific seasons. Next year, the Colts traded him to the Washington Commanders, where he played his last game. 

When did Carson Wentz retire?

The answer is no. Wentz is not a retired footballer. He is a free agent. Carson Wentz did not get any NFL team since the Commanders left him.

He was once a talented quarterback. However, injuries and miscalculations have put some questions on his career. It seems difficult to him to get a new club now.

The 2022 season went bad for Carson Wentz as he finished the season with only 11 TD. He covered only 1,755 yards and his completion was 62.3%. The Commanders did not continue with him for long.
