Maya’s time with the school team was exceptionally successful as she won the Marmonte League title thrice while winning the league MVP award on two occasions. Given her sporting prowess at the school level, Maya Brady quickly became one of the most sought-after players in college and earned herself a place in the UCLA Bruins team, which is considered one of the best in the country. She joined the team in 2020 and it did not take her long to make a good impression.
In her freshman year, Maya earned the tag of the Pac-12 Freshman and best player of the Week in February 2020. Along with it, she has also etched her name onto the history books forever by winning the title of Softball America Freshman.
In her short career at the college level, she has already broken a 24-year-old record by scoring 11 consecutive hits during the NCAA Division I softball season in 2023. Maya won the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2023 while also earning herself a spot on the All-American First team for the second time within three years in the division.
Maya Brady’s career graph has been extremely promising so far, and her sporting genes definitely have a role to play in it. However, talent without hard work is nothing.
