What a memorable night it was. As expected, the Super Bowl was the most entertaining game of the season with a lot of ups and downs as well as some heated arguments. The Rams were the Super Bowl favorites before the game started and they maintained their position throughout the night.

The Cincinnati Bengals were clearly the underdogs of the Super Bowl but they managed to go toe-to-toe with the Rams in each quarter. Los Angeles defense displayed their best performance yet as they managed to contain Joe Burrow in an amazing 23-20 victory over the Bengals.

“They had a very good front. Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Leonard Floyd there are the best players in the league. We expected they were gonna give some pressure so they did a good job”, Burrow said in the post-game interview. Joe Burrow was sacked 7 times in the Super Bowl by the Rams defense. Burrow tied Roger Staubach for the NFL record for most sacks in a Super Bowl.

The 25-year old QB said he watched a documentary about Kurt Warner’s life. Warner led the Rams to Super Bowl XXXVI against Tom Brady and the Patriots but was defeated 20-17 by the underdog Patriots. Burrow said how Kurt Warner and the Rams let the defeat sting a little too much and neglected to celebrate what they had achieved the entire season. “Obviously it stings but you know we had a great year. Didn’t come out the last game like we wanted to but I think we still have something to celebrate”, Burrow said.

Burrow had a clean game as he completed 22 of 33 pass attempts for 263 yards, 1 touchdown, and zero interceptions. Even the Bengals defense managed to provide Burrow with a clean pocket the entire first quarter. Cincinnati’s defense had 2 INTs in the entire game. The Bengals played exceptionally throughout the game but were bested by the deadly combo of Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp.

As Burrow said, the Bengals are going to enjoy the journey that led them to the Super Bowl and not beat themselves too much for losing the game. Cincy is going to better themselves in the offseason, come back stronger and show everyone that their reaching the Super Bowl was more than just a fluke.
