“It was dumb,” Jonathan Allen apologizes for his extravagant Adolf Hitler dinner date wish

Jonathan Allen has found himself under the scanner after he answered a harmless question from a fan on his official Twitter account. The Washington Commanders’ defender was asked to name three people- dead or alive with whom he would like to have dinner.

In a naive and honest answer, Allen answered that the three personalities would be his grandad, Adolf Hitler and Michael Jackson. While people were happy with two of them, the name of Adolf Hitler, the former German dictator gave everyone a surprising shock.

The troubles did not end there for Jonathan Allen, who went on to justify his choice of wanting to have dinner with Hitler. The defender termed Hitler as a military genius and wanted to pick his brains to know why he had performed those barbaric dreaded acts in the past.

Taylor responded to the fan, who asked why he chose Hitler among the trio by saying, “He’s a military genius and I love military tactics but honestly I would want to pick his brain as to why he did what he did. I’m also assuming that the people I’ve chosen have to answer my questions honestly.”

After copping his fair share of criticism on social media, Jonathan Allen however, has come out and publicly apologised for his comments on Adolf Hitler’s military prowess and has even deleted the tweet which caused all of the controversies.

In a fresh tweet on his official account, the defender acknowledged it was dumb on his part to mention the name of the German dictator. Jonathan Allen said, “Early I tweeted something that probably hurt people and I apologize about what I said,” Allen said on Twitter. “I didn’t express properly what I was trying to say and I realize it was dumb!”
