Justin Herbert’s new contract
Justin Herbert has agreed to a five-year contract worth $262,500,000 with the Los Angeles Chargers. The franchise activated the fifth-year option on his previous contract and offered him a further five-year extension.
The deal comes with $133,738,376 guaranteed at signing and an average salary of $52,500,000 per annum. Herbert will be receiving a signing bonus of $16,128,376 for his new contract which comes into effect from the 2024-25 season. Justin Herbert is currently in the fifth year of his previous contract.
For the 2024 season, the quarterback will earn a base salary of $1,010,000 with a cap hit value of $8,458,176. Herbert’s new contract lasts until the end of the 2029 season, and he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2030.
