“Davante was frustrated with Rodgers”: Keshawn Johnson says Aaron Rodgers’ behavior made it easier for Davante Adams to leave the Packers

The Green Bay Packers had a really tough choice to make. Either let their best and news-loving quarterback Aaron Rodgers go and spread the money around or retain Aaron at any cost and then try to cut costs as much as possible. They took the first option and it would be fair to say that they might be a little disappointed.
Davante Adams is undoubtedly one of the best wide receivers going around at this point in time. So when he announced that he will not play under the franchise tag something had to give as Green Bay had already dedicated a lot of funds towards retaining Rodgers.
“Packers valued Aaron Rodgers more than Davante Adams”: Keyshawn Johnson

Recently, on the KJM Show, Keyshawn Johnson had a few things to say about Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers. He stated that Adams would have left the Packers, irrespective of Green Bay retaining or not retaining Aaron Rodgers. He stated that Adams was tired of Aaron Rodgers’ drama.
“Davante Adams became frustrated with Aaron Rodgers. He already envisioned himself with the Las Vegas Raiders whether Aaron Rodgers would stay would come or go. Aaron Rodgers and the franchise tag made it easier for him to go to the Packers and say that I am done,” Keyshawn said.
“The Packers didn’t try to save their relationship with Davante either, they simply said ok, we’ll trade you. They simply valued their quarterback more than Davante Adams. They looked at Adams as expendable anyway,” Johnson claimed.
Now when Davante has been roped in by the Raiders and the Packers have retained Rodgers, it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the coming season.
